“Hi There,

I just wanted to write to you about my amazing experience at the Aloft Brooklyn location this past week. My wife and I are newlyweds and were celebrating our mini-moon in New York City. We checked-in on Friday, September 6 for three nights and met Diana who checked us in with the standard professionalism that we’ve come to expect from Marriott owned properties. My wife and I have been staying at Marriott locations since we’ve met and have not been disappointed with the service. We chose the Aloft Brooklyn location as it was reasonably priced and a stone’s throw from Manhattan. Diana made sure that we had everything that we needed during the check-in process. When we reached our room, we quickly realized that the room faced the wall of another building. Being our mini-moon, we were hoping for a better view. I went down to the front desk to see whether or not something could be done to move our room to a better view. I explained the situation to Diana who was managing the front desk at the time. Of course the room selection was not Diana’s fault nor anyone else’s. She immediately took ownership of my problem and started looking for alternative rooms and upon hearing that I was on my mini-moon offered an even better suggestion, a complimentary upgrade to a room with a terrace. Instead of making us wait while the room was being cleaned, she offered to have our bags delivered to the room while we were out exploring the town. What blew my wife and I away were when we got back to our room, Diana had gone out of her way to not only put our bags in the room, but she also had it decorated for us. This kind gesture brought my wife to tears. A simple act of kindness that has left an everlasting impact on us and solidified our choice to continue to choose Marriott owned properties as our home away from home. I just wanted to make sure that Diana was recognized for her devotion to going above and beyond to ensure the best client experience as possible.
