Jesse Bogorad and Justin Dent at The Boro Hotel had this heroic news to share:

"Tonight it was just myself and Justin working the welcome desk, and although it was a very routine and smooth night one win and wow happened that I can take credit for by saving a customer who was enjoying some food and drinks from our café area with my quick thinking and reactions. This person was visiting a guest on a type of date, having drinks and snacking on the nut assortment we offer (a blend of cashews, peanuts, almonds, and macadamia). The lady must have told a very funny joke because they both started laughing very loudly when I heard them abruptly stop. I looked over and the gentleman was having a hard time catching his breath. I knew what was happening and immediately approached them, grabbed the gentleman by his chest from behind, and lifted him one time while applying pressure. I took a class on the Heimlich maneuver in high school, but that was a long time ago (2002). My memory served me well because sure enough, a cashew projected out of his mouth onto the floor. They said thank you and I told them no problem and no one made a big deal about it because it is a strange situation. The gentleman thanked me again when he left. Way to go Justin - avoiding tragedy at The Boro Hotel!"
