What a wonderful moment shared by our very own Saule Zhukembayeva, Front Office Leader, at the Hampton Inn Grand Central. We are proud of your hard work and dedication to our guests, Saule!

"Today I was honored with another great pin. This pin has a real heavy story. Mr. Kennedy’s brother was serving in Afghanistan. He was Major Thomas Kennedy, age 35, from West Point, NY. He was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colo. He died on August 8th in Sarkowi, Afghanistan, of wounds caused by a suicide bomb attack. When Mr. Kennedy was presenting me with his pin, he stated that he would be honored if I would present and tell the story of the pin to the world. He always wears this pin as his family had added "TK" on the corner of the pin in memory of Major Thomas Kennedy. His story made me so sad. I stated that it would be an honor and a privilege to show/tell the world of Major Thomas Kennedy's bravery. Our service men/women make the selfless decision to protect us with their lives. We would like to thank all who have and currently are serving our country keeping us safe!!!"
